Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) is the national governing body of tennis in Sri Lanka, which represents Sri Lanka in the International Tennis Federation and the Asian Tennis Federation. Its main aim is to popularise tennis in all parts of Sri Lanka as a professional sport and to produce top tennis players from Sri Lanka.
Tennis was introduced to Sri Lanka by the British. The History of the association began when a few planters and tennis enthusiasts met together to form the Ceylon Lawn Tennis Association in 1915. Ever since, it has grown into one of the fastest growing sport on the island
