Janaka Bogollagama Memorial Cool Tennis All Island Inter School Kids’ Play Day 2025 Officially Launched

The Sri Lanka Tennis Association (SLTA) successfully inaugurated the Janaka Bogollagama Memorial Cool Tennis All Island Inter School Kids’ Play Day 2025 with an inspiring Opening Ceremony held on Wednesday, 07 January 2026, at the SLTA Premises.

The tournament has brought together 215 teams and over 1,100 enthusiastic players from schools across Sri Lanka and will continue until 11 January 2026, featuring Red Ball, Orange Ball, and Green Ball matches that highlight the foundation of grassroots tennis development.

The ceremony was attended by the President, General Secretary, Chairman – Tournaments and Matches, and Committee Members of SLTA, whose leadership, guidance, and dedication continue to strengthen and uplift tennis in Sri Lanka.

Adding inspiration to the occasion, Ms. Dinara De Silva, Sri Lanka’s Women’s National No. 1 player, highest-ranked ITF junior player in Sri Lanka, and a Billie Jean King Cup player, joined as the Special Invitee, motivating the young participants.

The event was further enriched by the vibrant performance of the Western Band of Holy Family Convent, adding colour and energy to the ceremony.
